The Forgotten Ways

A Four-Week Study in the Book of Acts - March 1, 8, 15, 22
What did the early church have that we may have lost? The series encourages thoughtful reflection, discussion, and action points. Led by Rev. Jeff Klein.

March's Study Outline:

  • The Way of Discipleship – The church in Acts made disciple-making central to its shared life. They practiced intentional patterns that immersed people in the way of Jesus. Have we forgotten how to make disciples? What can Acts teach us about walking alongside others into new life?
  • The Way of Prayer and the Holy Spirit – The early church was capable and gifted, yet deeply dependent on prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. Do we pray as they did? Are we seeking both Word and Spirit in a way that brings a supernatural dimension to our life together?

  • The Way of Encountering Jesus – Every believer in Acts had a story of encountering Jesus, and their lives were transformed because of it. Have we truly encountered Him? Are we helping others experience the life-changing presence of Christ?

  • The Way of Mission – The church in Acts was always moving outward, expanding the Kingdom and sharing the Good News of Jesus. What did their mission look like—and what does ours look like today? What might we have forgotten about being a church on mission?
