Be a LINK Mentor! LINK (Love, Interact, Neighbor, Kneel) is ECRC’s ministry that provides one-to-one mentoring opportunities to struggling individuals interested in financial independence, stability, and self-sufficiency. We partner with the non-profit Bridge Communities (transitional housing and services) for training and guidance and need additional mentors to help those who need it most now. The program works – a recent mentee mother and daughter were recently featured during an Elmhurst CRC worship service. They are in a condo and thriving financially. Watch their success story HERE. Sheri Vander Brug, a former mentor, reflected on her experience this way: “Mentoring has been so meaningful and rewarding to me in many ways. To be able to give of my time and support just seems so practical! I also have developed meaningful relationships through the experience. I love that Bridge provides someone to go to with questions when something comes up! It makes all the difference. I felt like I could be the hands and feet of Jesus in that experience.”
