MASK REQUIREMENT
In keeping with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, as of August 30, individuals over the age of 2 years old, regardless of vaccination status, are to wear a face mask while indoors at Elmhurst CRC.

ALPHA | SUNDAYS SEP 26-NOV 14 & TUES SEP 28-NOV 16
Alpha is a video and discussion series engaging topics of life, faith, and meaning. Your thoughts, questions, and experiences are welcome here. Join us for this 8-week series to explore and connect. Alpha groups meet Sundays from Sep 26-Nov 14, 5-7 pm (light dinner and childcare provided) and Tuesdays from Sep 28-Nov 16, 9:15-10:45 am (light brunch and childcare provided). SINGLE MOTHERS SUPPORT GROUP KICK-OFF | SEP 19 |12:15-2:30 PM
Come to the Kick off for the Single Mothers Support Group! Free speaker, free lunch, free childcare (infants-12 years). Our speaker is Christopher Lubawski, Licensed Counselor. Everyone will leave with a gift, and 5 baskets will be raffled off! Come and bring your friends. For more information contact Jane Loerop.

GRIEFSHARE | SEP 22 | 7-8:30 PM
If you've lost a loved one and have struggled in your grief, join us for Grief Share, a weekly support group designed to offer help, encouragement, and tools to rebuild your life. GriefShare will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, through Dec. 8. For more information or to register, click here.

SERVE

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS
The nursery is open (!) for children 0-36 months during the morning service. We’re also in need of loving nursery volunteers ages 5th grade and up who would be willing to provide care on an occasional basis so young parents may participate in the worship service. LITTLE LAMBS MUSIC
If you would like a little extra joy in your mid-week, come on out and volunteer with preschoolers at Little Lambs Preschool Experience during music time on Wednesday afternoons and/or Thursday mornings. We could use song leaders and pianists! Flexible arrangements are available. Contact Lynda Clousing at Little Lambs.

GOD TIME VOLUNTEER AT YORK RESOURCE CENTER

Like to make an impact on kids? We need one more volunteer to join a wonderful team who leads a God Time Children's Worship at the York Center Resource Center for an hour on Thursday afternoons 4-5 pm.. The lesson for the elementary-aged children is prepared for you. If you would like to know more, please contact Kara Hackert.

CHILDREN'S CLOTHING COLLECTION
To benefit the children of the moms in the Single Mother Support Group (SHE). Accepting sizes for infants-high schoolers, fall and winter clothing preferred. Donations (labeled by size and gender) may be dropped off in the bin by the church office by November 3.

Caring Network Annual Banquet | Oct 21 | 6 PM
Celebrating 40 years of making birthdays happen! The Keynote speaker is Mike Huckabee. Rev. Huckabee is a Christian minister who served as Governor of Arkansas and ran twice for the presidential nomination, a firm supporter of life, acknowledging, “The sanctity of life is an absolute and non-negotiable issue, current host of the TV show “Huckabee” on TBN. General registration opens on Sep 1. Advance register to sit at the Elmhurst CRC table with Amy Vander Molen.

Annual Ride for Roseland Women & Children’s Shelter Benefit, October 2
You can support Ride for Roseland by riding in person, doing a virtual ride, or sponsoring a young person from RCM to ride. Details, registration, and ticket information are here.
