Thrive

Thrive is a new ministry of Elmhurst CRC for adults ages 55 and over. Blessed with deep roots of faith and experience, we seek to foster new growth by building community through fellowship, education, and social activities. Throughout the year, the Thrive leadership team hosts a variety of events that provide meaningful, engaging opportunities for connection.

Some Thrive events are intentionally planned to appeal to and welcome participation across generations, fostering intergenerational awareness and appreciation. In all its activities, Thrive aims to be an active and fulfilling ministry for those who have contributed much—and who still have much to offer.

Thrive kicks off 2026 on Thursday, January 22, with a cybersecurity presentation by FBI Agent Mark Fodrey.
His work with identity thieves, hackers, scammers, and other online troublemakers gives him real-world insight into dangers we all face. He’ll share simple, practical ways to stay safe in today’s tech-heavy world. All ages are welcome to this kickoff event. Presentation begins at 7:30 pm I

If you are interested and your schedule allows, please consider joining us for a potluck dinner in the Garden Room. Simply sign up and bring your favorite hot dish, casserole, salad, or dessert. Potluck begins at 6:30 pm in the Garden Room.
