Feed My Starving Children® is a Christian non-profit committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship these meals to distribution partners around the world.
VOLUNTEER AND/OR DONATION SIGN UP
We also need our church community members to staff several key non-packing positions in our facility. These include:
Welcome/Registration/Check-in Volunteers
You'll support the FMSC staff in the process of checking in volunteers, showing them to orientation seating & packing stations, and general volunteer welcome/hospitality items (hairnets, jewelry bags, etc.).
4 Volunteers Needed per Shift
Floor Monitors
The shifts for Floor Monitors are needed longer than the average volunteer shift. You’ll help groups of volunteers at the stations with packing, troubleshooting, etc. Floor Monitors also help to reset the packing room (this includes organizing and sanitizing packing stations as well as sweeping/vacuuming) after each packing shift has concluded.
1 Floor Monitor for every 4 packing funnels.
3 Volunteers Needed per Shift
Unload Supplies
Help FMSC staff unload the truck, move ingredients and supplies into the packing space, and prepare for the setup of the packing and orientation spaces. Some heavy lifting is possible but not required of everyone.
4 Volunteers Needed
Set-Up
This session is for event setup. You'll set up packing stations, fill ingredient buns, label bags, and make boxes. Some heavy lifting is possible, but not required of everyone.
10 Volunteers Needed
Clean-Up
This session takes place after the final food-packing session. You'll help take down tables, put away supplies, wash dishes, sweep/vacuum floors, etc. Some heavy lifting is possible but not required of everyone.
