Escape Isolation and Embrace Invitation
Most of us will be missing some of our treasured traditions this year. From Christmas pageants and programs to gatherings with extended family, COVID has created a long list of losses. While these losses can nurture feelings of isolation, I’d like to share a few winning invitations with you in hopes of experiencing the joy of Christmas together.
I would love for you to say “Yes” to any or all of these invitations from Elmhurst CRC over the next few weeks.
- Come to our “Lessons and Carols” worship service on Sunday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. either in person or over Livestream. Our choir has found creative ways to continue leading us in this beautiful English tradition. You can pre-register HERE.
- Join The Broken Halos in a presentation of Andrew Petersen’s incredible musical, Behold, The Lamb of God on Sunday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. either in person or over Livestream. You can pre-register HERE.
- Come to an intimate, outdoor 15-minute presentation of the Christmas story, with music and a live nativity including animals! We’ll be offering this experience twelve different times at 4, 5, 6, & 7:00 PM on December 21, 22, and 23. This memorable event will be kid friendly and a great opportunity to invite neighbors along for a safe, joyful Christmas event. You can pre-register HERE.
- Join us on Christmas Eve for Elmhurst CRC’s first ever drive-in worship experience. This service can be viewed from your car on the south side of the church building while tuning into the audio on 104.9, W-ECRC FM. This service will include classic carols, Scripture from Luke 2, the Hallelujah Chorus, and our tradition of candle lighting. You can pre-register HERE.
Walk-ups and drive-ups will be welcome but you can greatly assist our staff and planning by RSVP-ing at the links above.
See you there for a memorable and Merry Christmas!
