Auld Lang Syne

December 27, 2018 by Gregg DeMey

2018 is nearly in the books and Auld Lang Syne will be sung at New Year's parties all over the world.

This song leaves me with a bittersweet feeling of nostalgia and good hope for the future. I was able to record a version of this last summer at Treehouse Records (thanks to Steve Loerop)! LISTEN.

Enjoy. Blessings to you as the calendar turns,

Pastor Gregg

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot and the days of auld lang syne!

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We’ll drink a cup o’ kindness yet,
For the days of auld lang syne

We twa hae paddled down the stream from morning sun till dine
But seas between us braid hae roared since the days of auld lang syne

And there’s a hand, my trusty friend, give me a hand o’ thine
And we’ll tak a right good cup of ale for the days of auld lang syne.
