Lent

Lent begins with the marking (for many) with ashes, aptly called ASH Wednesday. ASH Wednesday is the first day of Lent and marks the 40 days (excluding Sundays*) before Easter.  

We’ll be observing the season of Lent with weekday devotionals delivered via text. The five-minute devos will be also be available on our website.

*You many have noticed that the Lenten period is 46 days on the calendar. Sundays are excluded from the 40-day count, as they’re considered “feast days” — a celebration of the resurrection and a day off or omitted from the 40-day observance of fasting or giving up for Lent.
