Local Impact

ECRC maintains great relationships with several local social-service organizations. Our Local Impact ministry exists to highlight the many opportunities for our members and friends to serve our broader community. We encourage everyone to get involved where and when they can. Whether it’s a weekly, monthly, or even a one-time event, giving your time and talent can make huge difference in someone’s life and our community.

LINK (Love, Interact, Neighbor, Kneel) is a ministry at Elmhurst CRC through which we reach out to the homeless and others in need in the community. We work with existing organizations in the area.

LINK and Bridge Communities
Bridge Communities is a grassroots, non-profit organization in DuPage County that provides transitional housing and other programs to those at risk of homelessness with a goal of self-sufficiency. We partner with them to provide mentoring and financial assistance to client families.

LINK and PADS
Recently members of LINK have participated in PADS, a local DuPage County ministry providing overnight housing and other services to the homeless, and were profoundly impacted. We continue to pursue opportunities to address the very real needs of the homeless in DuPage county.
