God’s heart breaks for the hungry, hurting and lost no matter where they live. His love knows no boundaries—and neither should ours. Which is why we at Elmhurst CRC have committed to providing opportunities to share God’s love and to share his blessings with others around the globe. We encourage members and friends to connect with God’s children from all ends of the earth through organizations that support those in need around the world and through long- and short-term missions trips or by getting to know, support and pray for our missionary partners.
From hosting mission trips to supporting those in full-time missionary work, Elmhurst CRC has many ways to get involved in the missions field.
Exodus mobilizes the Christian community to welcome refugees by providing education about refugee ministry, connecting volunteers with people in need, and equiping leaders to speak up.
Elmhurst CRC shares a special relationship with Angola Prison. In the past, we have done joint worship services with Angola Prison, including Christmas services. We also send them Christmas gifts each year through our Glimmer of Hope Christmas giving trees.
With God’s help Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) will strive to eliminate starvation in children throughout the world by helping to instill compassion in people to hear and respond to the cries of those in need. Elmhurst CRC has partnered with Feed My Starving Children by hosting a MobilePack event.
World Renew (CRWRC) serves worldwide as the development, disaster response, and justice arm of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. World Renew's mission is to engage God's people in redeeming resources and developing gifts in collaborative activities of love, mercy, justice, and compassion.
